Melee need to run in a circle around where the Lich King was to where he is now to avoid the tanks trap. if the Lich King tank gets the trap, melee will be tempted to run forward to follow the Lich King, BAM! they hit the trap it's a wipe. Bigwigs has a lovely way of super emphasizing the Shadow Trap target, and they give you a little /say as well as getting a raid mark. The rest of the Healers and all ranged Dps stack on the other side, within range of all raid members and all hostile units. The way we have been doing it is to have Melee stack up behind The Lich King as normal with a Healer or two. These nasty buggers spawn at the location of a random raid member and if one person in your raid touches it, them, and all others close to them will be blown away, off the platform and, well. Shadow Traps are the main thing you gotta look out for really in Heroic Phase 1. Necrotic Plague is the same as normal, you get it, you run to the adds, get dispelled, carry on. We actualy forbid AoE in melee such as Cleaves, Death & Decay, Howling Blast and what not until the current wave of Ghouls has been successfully ToT'ed to the add tank by 2 Rogues. The Drudge Ghouls aren't amazingly deadly but can be a right pain in the cheese if you grab aggro on one of them, especialy if your getting hit by one and your suffering from the Infest debuff. Infact we take 6 Healers for Lich King Heroic 25 instead of taking 5 like we do for the rest of the raid instance. Infest is more powerful, alot more powerful. There are plenty of things in Heroic mode that will make you shudder when you see how powerful they are compared to normal mode.
